Sam and Aran at Clandon Park

October 12, 2011

What a lovely day for a wedding. And what a beautiful wedding it was. Clandon Park, near Guildford, is a stunning National Trust property with the most beautiful tapestry room providing the backdrop to the wedding ceremony of Sam and Aran, very ably supported by their very handsome boys,  Jayden and Ryley.

I have so many favourite images from this wedding that it was hard to narrow it down but here are just a few which I hope do the day justice.

With many thanks to Emma Woodward, who came and helped me and provided many lovely images including the last one of this blog, of the three boys. Thanks Emma.

A beautiful wedding and a real mix of cultures. One side Eastern European, the other Brazilian. Neither does speeches, which was nice, and both do eating, drinking and dancing, which was nicer still.

Happy Birthday Riley

July 2, 2011

My beautiful nephew (well actually he’s my great nephew but that makes me sound very old, like Miss Marple or something) Riley was one this week.

Happy Birthday Riley and well done Abby and Jake, you’re doing a great job.

A Bit Of A Mouthful

June 30, 2011

My mate G is a chef. He throws together a pretty good plate of food. And I’m not the only one who thinks so. One of his most recent jobs was as personal chef for Kylie on her Aphrodite tour.

G’s company, A Bit Of A Mouthful also caters for many big stars. Adele, Morrissey, The Wiggles no less. And next week they start a month long gig for the iTunes Festival at the Camden Roundhouse. Check out the website to see what big names are going to be eating G’s food. And I occasionally get it for free. yum.

I took some photos for G recently for his website which he’s updating. I went behind the scenes at a Halifax ad to see his chefs at work preparing food for hoardes of fake Halifax staff. And no, Howard wasn’t there.

Next time you need a chef keep G, and A Bit Of A Mouthful, in mind. Believe me you won’t regret it.

I was very honoured when Wendy asked me to do her wedding photos. Very nervous but very honoured.

It was a beautiful day, the sun shone and the happiness eminating from Wendy and Nigel, their children and all their family, was just lovely. The afternoon reception was at the gorgeous Petersham Hotel in Richmond upon Thames with its sweeping views across the River Thames.

Wendy loved her dress so much she wore it to Heathrow airport that evening when they jetted off to New York for their honeymoon, and who could blame her? She looked stunning.

Wendy and Nigel are off to live in the States for a year soon and they, and Luke, Billy and Eliza, will be missed very much.

Bon Voyage!

Richmond Park 15/04/11

April 15, 2011

Such a lovely afternoon today at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park. My good friend Antonia has always been a staunch supporter of my photography and has earned herself a lifetimes supply of free photos of her children. Maddy joined in the fun for a change, nothing to do with the £1 bribe I offered.

More from my shoot with Zoe. Isn’t she lovely.

Sneak Peek – Zoe

March 28, 2011

I have just used Zoe as a willing victim model. This had a couple of benefits. It allowed me to sort out an early birthday present for Zoe’s mum Hui, who does such a great job bringing up Zoe but it gave me some great practice in properly directing a shoot, scouting out locations, finding clean backgrounds and when the photos are done to look at my workflow and processing, the slightly less exciting side of being a photographer.

I’m putting up just one photo as I’ve not had time to edit them yet and it’s only fair Hui and Zoe get to see them first but I hope you like it.

Thank you Zoe.

Quiet times

March 21, 2011

The tail end of winter doesn’t allow for much photography but I’m getting excited about some sessions coming up so watch this space. In the meantime here’s a few photos from the summer of 2010 to keep you going.

It’s at this time of year…

… that thoughts turn to holidays.

We’ve been lucky to have some great holidays in recent years with friends and family, at home and abroad and here are just a few of the photos from them.
